I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and have been in practice since 2012. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from North Central University and a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.
When I began as a therapist, I was employed with Northern Valley Catholic Social Services in Chico, CA as a Case Manager in Wraparound Services, and then as a School-Based Therapist. During this time, I worked extensively with children and families utilizing Play Therapy and Family Therapy to work through the children's behavioral and emotional struggles, as well as with parents on parenting skills and connecting better with their children.
I transitioned to Private Practice in Chico, CA, under the supervision of Lory Salberg, LCSW, where I worked with a variety of ages and mental health struggles, including anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, grief, panic attacks, and more. I have since moved to Irvine, CA and continue in Private Practice now under the supervision of Cynthia Peikoff, LCSW. I work primarily from Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
In addition to my education, I have attended trainings on multiple subjects such as trauma, relationships, and boundaries. I also completed a 4 day Emotionally Focused Therapy Externship, which gave me tools for working with couples. I continue to develop myself professionally through reading, research, and attending further trainings in order to better assist my clients. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), as well as the Orange County chapter of CAMFT.
